Whiz Overview and Parts

What accessories are delivered in the Whiz box?
All accessories besides the brush are stored in the accessory box inside the battery compartment.

What accessories are delivered separately?

Depending on your contract details, Home Location Codes may be bundled with the machine.

A dust bag, hopper tray, and HEPA filter are pre-installed in the machine at delivery.

The brush, dust bag, HEPA filter, battery charger, battery, and Home Location Codes are consumables.

How to remove Whiz from its packaging

​

  • Check that the packaging is not damaged; if damaged, immediately contact customer support. 

 

  • Do not discard the packaging box or packing material, and store it safely. It will be required when storing the machine out of use for a long period or for transportation.

  1. Pinch the lock on the locking tab that is attached to the outer box.

  2. Lift the lock.

  3. Remove the locking tabs. There are 4 locking tabs located on the outer box.

  4. Remove the outer box. Also, remove the brush that is attached inside the outer box.

5. Remove the cushioning material.

6. Remove the plastic bag.

7. Carefully lay Whiz on its back using the white lift handles to help you. 

8. Remove the inner box.

9. With both hands, hold the white lift handles and raise the machine.

10. Remove the cushioning material (between the bumper and the machine).

11. Use the steering handle to bring the machine to the cleaning area.

Machine Set-Up and Inspection

How do I check the Emergency Stop Button?
Check that the Emergency Stop Button is not pressed. If pressed, turn it (red) to the right to release.

How to check the Dustbag?

Be sure to check that the dust bag is properly attached. If it is not properly installed or if the dustbin does not close, follow the steps for attaching the dustbag.

1. Hold the dustbin access handle and pull down.

2. Remove the cover towards you

3. Check that the dustbin pin is afloat
- If the dust bag is correctly set, the pin will float

4. Insert the catches at the bottom of the cover in the bottom of the dustbin and close the cover while pushing down on the dustbin access handle.

How do I check the HEPA filter?
Before you start, check that the HEPA filter is properly installed.

1. With fingers in the holes in the filter cover, turn to the left to remove.

2. Check that the EPA filter is properly installed.

3. Attach the filter cover to the machine, and turn to the right until it clicks to close.


4. Check the other HEPA filter with the same procedure.

How to check the Hopper Tray?

Check that the Hopper Tray is correctly installed. If it is not installed correctly, reinstall the Hopper Tray. 
From the back of the machine, check if the Hopper tray is installed correctly.

How do I install the brush?
Check that the Hopper Tray is correctly installed. If it is not installed correctly, reinstall the Hopper Tray.

1. Stow the steering handle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


2. Hold the lift handle with one hand, and hold the handle down with the other hand.
- Operate with two people.

3. Gently lay the machine down so that the dustbin faces upward.
- The rubber pad will support and stabilise the machine.

- Please be cautious so the handle does not stick out of the machine.

- Take care not to let the machine fall forcefully or to turn.

- Concrete or other hard surfaces will scratch the machine; place the machine on carpeting or other soft and flat surfaces.

- Please set the secondary battery power button to On. Also, remove the protective film on the cliff sensor.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


4. Check the marks on the left and right ends of the new brush.
 

- When the machine is laid down with the front side facing upwards, you will see that the sockets of the brush case, both right and left, have the same marks as the brush.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


5. Attach the right end of the brush to the socket with the matching marking in the brush compartment.

6. Press the brush to the right, and pull the left end out toward you to remove.
- Spin the brush and check that the marks on the left and right sides of the brush are installed correctly in the socket.

7. Hold the lift handle with one hand, and hold the handle down with the other hand. 
- Please operate with two people.

8. Holding the lift handles with each set of hands, gently raise using two people.
- Please be cautious so the handle does not stick out of the machine.

How do I charge and install the battery?

​

1. Pull the bottom left of the battery door toward you to open.

- Remove the accessory box from inside the battery compartment.

2. Insert a fully charged battery as far as it can go.
- If the battery is inserted correctly, the lock will stick out from the side, and you will hear a click.

- Hold the grips with both hands, and be careful not to drop the battery.

- Insert the battery in the battery compartment by its terminal first.

3. Check that the battery is locked.

4. Close the battery door.
